My name is Andrea Baxter and I am the new principal at Stockton Elementary. I have been an educator for 20 years. I have served as a classroom teacher and as a Title 1 Reading Interventionist. This will be my 12th year at S.E.S and I am excited to make this one the best yet!
Stockton is my home. I grew up in this community and am a Stockton High School graduate. I attended Drury University and received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Special Reading. I hold a Specialist degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Educational Leadership.
My husband, John, and I have two boys. Our oldest son, Jay, will be a freshman at College of the Ozarks and our youngest son, Jax, will be a sophomore in high school. My boys love to play basketball, so I spend a lot of time in the gym. In my free time, I like to read, bake, and spend time with my family and friends.
My favorite thing about being an educator is watching students grow! My goal this year is to see students thrive using their different skills and talents to become life-long learners. I am excited to start a new school year and I look forward to working with our students, their families, and our teachers.
